Sunday, JULY 10 Stories of Jacob - The Big IFRev. Peter This Sunday’s story prompts us to ask of ourselves, “How much do I want God to act on my terms?” If we give this question a few moments reflection, we might be surprised by our answer. In the end, it’s all about who we want to be in charge. Put another way: do we want to live our lives in God’s image, or do we want God to live in our image?

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed
Green thumbs, caring hearts, nimble fingers… As someone who can kill a weed, I am so VERY appreciative of the skilled gardeners/pruners who have devoted hours this summer to tending our flower gardens, pruning trees, and helping us appreciate the beauty of God’s creation. |

The Wider Community
Many of us have an extra tube of toothpaste ~ sometimes 2 or 3. And maybe we picked up a couple of bottles of shampoo when they were on sale. Our cupboards may not look like the shelves in the pharmacy or store, but to someone who can’t afford daily hygiene essentials, that’s probably what it would look like to them.
