Apparently Over 90!Grateful/Thankful/Blessed If you were able to worship with us this past Sunday, you know that Peter Coutts, who spear-headed our Indigenous Friendship Day on Sat, Sep 28 ~ had OVER 90 volunteers to help before, during, and after – the big day itself. 90 people… 90 dedicated people… 90 helpful, committed people. I know some were in charge of areas and events, and spent more time on this day than others, but I don’t want to name anyone in case I leave someone out… so to ALL OF YOU who helped in big ways and small ways… THANK YOU!!!! The day was filled with thoughtfulness, with meaning, teaching, eating, listening, laughing ~ and with the intention of helping build community with our neighbours, especially our Indigenous brothers and sisters. Woven into the neighbourhood… you do good work, St. Andrew’s!!! For more infomation visit: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DAe0z9ryUPG/?igsh=MWVxNXQ1Yml1dXU1ZA==

HURRAY! for all our volunteers who give so much of their personal time to our ministry
This week we want to highlight 3 women for taking time away from their work and families to travel to Portland, Oregon to attend the Stewardship Kaleidoscope conference in late September — Dolly Forcade, Stephanie Werle, and Shona Vandrasco. Each of them had to sacrifice some personal vacation time in order to participate, so to the 3 of you we extend a BIG THANK YOU for your generous gift of time! We know each of you is passionate about stewardship and generosity, and we look forward to hearing more from you about the various ways we can cultivate greater generosity here at St. Andrew’s. |

Invitation from the Rainbow Team - Friday, October 18th, 7:00-8:30 pm - Karl English Lounge
Please join St. Andrew's Rainbow Team for a Film and Conversation night. We will be watching the documentary "Fish out of water" (2009) by Ky Dickens. The filmaker identifies how the LGBTQ community has been deeply hurt by the misinterpretation of a handful of bible passages which made Ky feel like "A fish out of water" within her own faith community when she came out. Please note that the film contains mature themes such as violence toward the LGBTQ community and self-harm. Feel free to stay after the film to share your thoughts and insights about the film, and/or to listen to the insights of others. Refreshments will be served. |
