Sunday, JULY 3 Stories of Jacob - God Works with What God GetsRev. Peter The stories of Genesis at their core answer two fundamental groups of questions: “Why is the world the way it is?”, and “Where did the People of Israel come from?” But it also introduces us to the nature of God – that God has to work with what God gets, generation after generation. This is so much the case with Jacob who was one of the hardest individuals God had to work with! But before we get too deep into the stories of Jacob, let’s get to know the God who has to deal with him.

The office staff call Flemming Nielsen our energizer bunny
He is sometimes at the church at the crack of dawn, and can often be found up a ladder changing light bulbs, the message on our church sign on the front lawn, fixing the hinges on a door, or…. the list goes on and on. He has also been helping with oversight and accountability of various responsibilities of the Facilities Team these last years. As of June 30th, Flemming will no longer be the Interim Convenor of the Facilities Team. But we are THRILLED that he is going to continue his ‘Flemming the toolman Nielsen’ work on Mondays and Thursdays here at the Church, tending to minor repairs and maintenance tasks as they pop up. Flemming, we are SO GRATEFUL for your faithfulness in our midst. (Especially Dolly and Debby! Just sayin’!) |

Our thoughts, prayers and best wishes go with Mikael as he finds new ventures in his field.
