A good portion of the sermon will highlight how he reads scripture on this topic and how this approach helped him change his personal views. Following worship, Peter will hold a drop-in conversation in the Upper Room for persons who have any concerns about the changes our denomination has made for its views on sexual expression.Peter wishes to create a safe space limited to those persons with concerns to talk about them openly. From The PCC Website: "During the 2021 General Assembly, The Presbyterian Church in Canada agreed to make changes to its theology and practice regarding marriage, recognizing that people may define marriage either as a covenant relationship between a man and a woman or as a covenant relationship between two adult people. These decisions provide Presbyterian ministers with liberty of conscience and the freedom to choose to officiate or not officiate at the marriages of same-sex couples. Additionally, the church agreed that LGBTQI people (whether married or single) can be ordained and are welcome to serve as ministers and ruling elders."

Assistance Required to Provide Treats for our Post Secondary Students During Spring Exams
The Faith Formation Team (and Family Ministry before us) has been organizing a treat for each of our post secondary students during both the Christmas and spring exam period for several years. We think it is important that St. Andrew’s students know they are being thought of and that we hold them in our prayers. We have 10 post secondary students this spring and are seeking 10 individuals of families interested in supporting this worthy cause by purchasing a $25 gift card i.e. a Starbuck’s, Tim Horton’s or Chapters/Indigo gift card. You would mail the gift card with a hopeful and caring message to a student, whose name and address will be provided to you by the FF Team. All of our students will be most grateful for the gift and encouragement! If you are interested, please email Rhonda Wishart at Rhonda.wishart@icloud.com (or phone 403-614-9924) to be provided the name and address of a student. Thank you to all past and current participants! |

Returning to In-Person Worship and Activity at St Andrew's
Across Canada in recent weeks there has been a steady move towards removing COVID related restrictions. While many welcome this shift and the infection related dangers have been significantly reduced by vaccinations, there are still two realities: people are still getting COVID and some congregants consequently are quite cautious about returning to in-person activities. As an example, one congregant who was at worship last Sunday was diagnosed with COVID this week. With restrictions greatly reduced we will all unknowingly be near infected persons in the grocery store, the restaurant, at the Flames game and in our friend's living room. As we have heard, we are now moving into the phase called "living with COVID." |

The sun is warm on your face for the first time in months. That feeling of relief — of hope — is what you can bring to neighbours experiencing homelessness, poverty, and hunger. The winter has been incredibly tough. From the bone-chilling weather to the ongoing pandemic, many in our community are hurting. With Easter just one month away, now is the time for us to give our neighbours care, comfort, and hope — starting with a nourishing meal. Your special gift today will help the Mustard Seed welcome every hungry person who turns to them for a wholesome Easter meal.
