Hospitality: A Biblical Tradition - Dr. Tim ArchibaldSeptember 19, 2021 – 9:30 am Sunday Worship Service While the Pandemic has fostered greater isolation, there are still “creative” ways to be a good neighbour. This fall we will be brushing up on our “creative” skills of neighbouring! After all, Jesus says that the most important commandment is to love God and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Meaningful neighbouring is a Biblical tradition—which we’ll be exploring this Sunday. Did you ever think of the stranger as being holy?—as being a gift-bearer? Hope you can join us this weekend and for this whole series focused on growing in love of neighbour. Facilities Team – Seeking New LeadershipFlemming Nielsen has blessed St. Andrew’s with his leadership of the Facilities Team for the past year and we are immensely grateful for his dedication to this position. Flemming promised us a year of service from the outset, and we are looking for a person(s) to take on the role by the end of 2021. In order to reduce the volunteer hours for this position, Session suggests the responsibilities could be shared by two people - either Co-convenors or a Convenor and a Vice-Convenor. The responsibilities could be divided in accordance with the interests of the people assuming the roles. If you are interested or know someone who might be interested in either position, please contact Rhonda Wishart of Session Rhonda.wishart@icloud.com or the church office at 403-255-0001. The more detailed mandate of the Facilities Team is available on request. |
