There are several opportunities to help: parking attendants, set up and take down, and providing cookies or squares. Please call the church office at 403.255.0001 if you can help out!! And if you can’t help out but would like to support them, please come for a burger or hot dog and bring your stampede spirit!! |
Church School
To give our church school leaders a well -deserved rest, there will not be any church school over the summer. Our Nursery staff - either Lilwen Henrichsen or Calysta Payne - will welcome all little ones and children up to the age of 6 in the Nursery. Activity sheets (found at the back of the church) will be provided for the older children. |
Mealtrain - making a BIG difference in lives
Mealtrain is a system that allows us to provide meals to those who need help at certain times in their lives. If you are someone who can provide an occasional meal ~ and are not on our current contact list ~ please speak with Joan Rowe. We know some people like to cook but don’t like to drive. NOT A PROBLEM!! If you can make a meal, we will have someone pick it up and deliver it, or you can drop off a frozen meal to the church freezer. I can be contacted by email at mjrowe@telus.net, and by phone at 587-223-6243. For more infomation visit:

Fore-get about everything else… it’s time to Golf!
Did you know that St. Andrew's has an informal golf league? We play about twice a month, sometimes 9 holes and sometimes 18-holes. An email is sent out to those who have expressed an interest in golfing and individuals can choose whether or not to participate on a given day. Some of the courses we have played include Crystal Ridge, D'Arcy Ranch, Maple Ridge and Livingston. We hope to try High River, Vulcan, Nanton, Confederation Park and Lakeview over the summer. So far, we haven't spotted any bears! If you would like to be added to the email list, please contact Terry Basaraba (terry.basaraba@gmail.com). |

Did you know The Presbyterian Church in Canada will celebrate our 150 anniversary in 2025?
As part of the celebrations in honour of the 150th anniversary of the formation of the denomination, the ‘Committee on History’ has a commemorative project planned called PCC 150. PCC150 asks members of the PCC to submit their recollections and reflections. The stories do not need to be long (400 words maximum). Even just a couple of sentences would suffice if they best capture your memory or your future goal as a member of the PCC. You can send your reflection directly to Ian McKechnie (instructions in link below), or you can email them to ‘office@standrewscalgary.ca’ with the subject line PCC 150 REFLECTION, and we will gather them all together and send them as one submission, crediting you with the information you submitted. Remember: 400 word maximum! ~ Deb For more infomation visit: https://mailchi.mp/ae127dc2fd62/pcc-at-150-in-2025-appeal-for-reminiscences-reflections?e=438eaea646
