May 26, 2024 - Called to be a prophet?Rev. Laurie McKay How do we figure out whether a voice is God’s voice or our own? Samuel is confused when God calls. Thinking it’s his blind priest, Eli, Samuel eventually comes to hear a hard message, and is challenged to speak judgment on his mentor. When have we been called to do something difficult - even though it’s true and right? What helps?

Grateful/Thankful/Blessed
The Facilities team would like to express our thanks to the many individuals who came out and participated in our Spring Cleanup on Saturday May 25th. Our church building and grounds now look great. We were able to sweep gravel off the asphalt and grass lawns, repair the rear fence, tend the gardens and hedge, move the rear paving stones, dispose of old rail ties, add new gravel to the rear parking areas, wash the foyer windows, trim trees by the tennis court, and have a great time! Thank you for providing some TLC. |
Adopt a Flower Bed this Summer
Last Saturday, some energetic people helped clean up our grounds, including weeding our flower beds and getting them ready to bloom!! WE NEED SOME HELP THIS SUMMER WITH OUR FLOWER BEDS. There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer. If you have an hour or two each week to come and take care of ONE flower bed on our grounds, we hope you will ‘adopt a flower bed’ so the work is shared, and we can all enjoy the beauty of nature!! |
