Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!Dedication Lived Out As Session has released the Search Team from its work, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank the Search Team for the dedication and commitment all members have shown towards the search process over the past three and a half years. Current members include: Peter Coutts as our Interim Moderator, Judie Coleman, Bill Judd, Inge Murray, Bart Stolee, and Thelma Wagner. Thank you, dedicated team, for helping us get to the finish line. I also wanted to thank our past members who provided guidance and support along the way. Our previous interim moderators, the late Dianne Ollerenshaw, Fiona Swanson, and Jean Morris. Our previous co-conveners, Ken Burrill and Cathy Millar, and former members: Kevin MacFarlane, Clem McLaughlin, David Kurtz, and Tim Archibald. Thank you all current and past members for your willingness to assist us in the search process. Every one of you brought skills, knowledge, experience, and mentorship to the process of discerning what it looks like to Call a new minister to St. Andrew’s so we can step into this new ministry and serve God together. |
As you have heard, we will be welcoming Rev. Laurie McKay into our faith family in February as our Lead Minister.
On Sunday morning (Jan 28) there will be a ‘board of stickies’ in the Foyer indicating something you can contribute towards a ‘welcome wagon gift basket’ for Rev. Laurie. The board will include options like ‘apple cider vinegar’, ‘extra virgin olive oil’, a $5.00 donation, a $10.00 donation… many, many options, both for shoppers and those who don’t like to shop! The donations of money will be used to purchase some gift cards for Laurie, and also to provide cash to her in case she needs to buy a lawn mower, a couple of deck chairs, or an extension cord for her new home!! |

HOW can we possibly say a big enough ... THANK YOU???
In March of 2022 Rev. Peter Coutts ‘hit the ground running’ as our Interim Minister for the first year, and as our Interim Moderator the second year. As his work with us started, Peter focused on Session Development, Congregational Development, and Congregational Direction. Daunting? Just a tad! But Peter’s approach was ‘one chunk at a time’. He helped us build on our mission and vision statements in creating a strategic direction for us at this time in our faith journey. He listened to us, he comforted us, he challenged us. |
From the Facilities Team
Facilities Team would like to recognize and express our thanks to the following persons who came out on Saturday January 20th and took down our Nativity display, angels, and lighting from the front of the church. Thank you to Don Koch, Alfred MacRae, Loran McVittie, Flemming Nielsen, Matt Nolette, Sean Pepper, Peter Ridley, and Mark Rowe. Your help was very much appreciated. |
Thank you, thank you! That's the feedback from Claire House Residents
Dear St Andrews - Thank you, thank you, thank you. We so appreciate your frequent friendship visits and the generous Christmas gift cards.' ~ Claire House Residents |
