Grateful / Thankful / Blessed
This year the people of St. Andrew's have again shown their compassion and generosity for those less fortunate in our city with their donations of 437 hats, mittens/gloves, scarves, socks and underwear to the mitten tree. We donated 167 men's items, 135 ladies items, 138 children's items and a blanket and bags to the Mustard Seed, the Alpha Center and WINS. Men's socks and children's hats topped the list of donations. The children's items were added to the items that the children will distribute to WINS. Thank you to everyone for your kindness. ~ Kathy Slimmon, Kerrie Anderson on behalf of the Mission Team And a note from the congregation to Kathy and Kerrie - thank you for your help in organizing and distributing the items to those in need! |

‘Tis the Season of goodwill toward all. And apparently also the season for scamming.
PLEASE be careful and don’t fall for the scams where people you know are APPARENTLY asking for money… or gift cards... or anything else. Your friends would pick up the phone and call you. They wouldn’t send an email asking for financial help. And once again… Peter doesn’t need gift cards OR your hard earned money. |
LinX Communication over the Holidays
LinX (and its creators) will be taking a ‘bit of a break’ over the holidays. There will not be a LinX email on December 27th, and on January 3rd you’ll receive a ‘shorter LinX version’. We’ll be back to our regular schedule and format January 10th. We wish you a blessed Christmas, and a happy and safe new year. |

Christmas Blessing for Our World
God with us, bless us as we leave our Christmas church services to serve. Bless us to be bearers of God with us, light, love and peace. Where there is a need may we meet it. Where there is injustice, may we fight it. Where there are shadows, may we be light. Where there is hopelessness, may we offer hope. Where there is hatred, may we be love. Where people forget, may we remind them that God is with Us! Amen |
