Sometimes we all need a little help from our friends.
Mathilde & Willem Van der Merwe faced a busy time in November, as Willem’s brother and his family arrived in Calgary and stayed with them. Meal Train friends stepped up immediately (Joan Rowe, Barbara Kearnes, Pat Tritter, Debbie Draper and Lynn Judd). Mathilde sent a NOTE OF GRATITUDE, expressing thanks to “all who graciously fed us and the new arrivals so well. It made a huge difference for me not having to think, plan and prepare food. Because of this community who stepped up, we managed to do our work and focus on relationships during this transition time which was unsettling for all. We feel so cared for. I definitely would like to be added to the Meal Train as a contributor so I can pay it forward for someone else again in the future.’ ~ Mathilde |

Please remember to have a look at the bookshelves in the Karl English Lounge beside the Kitchen area, and take as many books as you would like. We will be taking any left over books from these shelves and donating them in another week or so. This will be the end of the adult library ‘as we now know it’. |

Serving in preparing our Church building and grounds for Christmas
The beginning of Advent is only two weeks away. Traditionally St. Andrew’s sets up a nativity display of angels, a manger, and Christmas lights on our front lawn during Advent. The Facilities team invites all congregation members to join us on Saturday November 25th at 11:00 am to set-up our Advent display. We expect the set-up should take about 60-90 minutes. Please join us - it’s a great way to start our Christmas celebrations! ~ Don Koch |
