In our readings this Sunday we will hear that God equips the church with abilities for the sake of “the common good.” What is the “good”? Common to who? And how will we as St. Andrew’s go about doing that? The sermon will bring an update on our growth as a missional congregation.

On the weekend of August 25 to 27 the annual StAC camping weekend was held at Bow Valley Provincial Park. 
We had a great turnout of 37 in total for the Saturday hike, and then 21 for the outdoor service on Sunday. Ken Burrell was kind enough to come out and lead the music for the Sunday service, and thanks to all those that participated in the readings and prayers. Our appreciation goes out to Steph Werle for helping to put together the order of worship.  ~  Craig Murray

Fall Book Study led by Jari-Lynn Eckert and Margaret Bruhjell-Holmes on how the church can support those with mental health issues has been moved to October.

Seminars are held online at no cost, and are open to anyone.  The seminars provide information on preparing for end-of-life, offer strategies for staying resilient through challenging times, and help family caregivers become more confident in their roles.

Loving God, thank you for the rest and relaxation we enjoyed over the summer.  We pray for our children as they begin their new school year.  Bless them with joy at seeing friends, excitement at new experiences, and a love of learning.  Watch over all who learn, replacing fear with joy, anxiety with peace, and tiredness with energy.  Grant teachers wisdom, patience, and joy in serving their students.  In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
