Sunday Morning Worship: 10:00 am (Livestreamed & In-person) |
Grateful / Thankful / Blessed
This past week our worship service focused on GRATITUDE. In response, a member of the congregation sent the following message: This morning's service stirred a great sense of gratitude. I am both a member of St. Andrew's and AA (Alcoholics Anonymous). For 15 years of my 40 years of sobriety I attended an AA group in the basement of St. Andrew's church. I owe much of my sobriety to the kindness of St. Andrew's and countless other congregations for allowing AA groups to meet in their buildings. For this I will always be grateful, this has saved my life and allowed me to be a productive member of society. ~ Anonymous On behalf of the congregation, we would like to express our HEARTFELT THANKS to the following people for their participation and leadership in Sunday’s service: Derek Wilkinson, Judy Bridgemohan, Lawrence Anderson, Ken Burrill, Deanne Barrett, and Lynn Judd. Because they were willing to share their gifts of leadership, we were ALL blessed!!! ~ Deb |

THE WIDER COMMUNITY
|
This past month we have read of all the wildfires that are devastating communities.
Please say a special prayer this week for all those who have been affected. Those close to us in Yellowknife, West Kelowna, Shuswaps; those far away in Lahaina, Maui; and those who we may not hear about in the news but are affected none-the-less. Pray for the people who have lost family members, their homes, their possessions, their peace of mind. Pray for the firefighters working hard to put out the fires, and to keep everyone safe. Give them courage in the face of danger. Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10 |
