Early this week, Bill Judd of the Mission Team, and on behalf of our caring congregation, delivered gloves, mittens, toques, hats, underwear, socks, slippers, and shawls, to those who are in need at this time of year.  There really IS a tree under all the items in this picture ~ and as there was no more room on the tree, you can see there are ‘also many bags’ of donated warm clothing items to be shared.  
Many of you also gave money toward gift cards for Claire House ~ so that our neighbors in this building can celebrate Christmas.  We were able to provide every household with a $100 gift card, and thanks to your generosity, the community development worker (who is a staff member at CUPS) has a few gift cards to give to new people coming into the building in 2023, often with very little to get started in their new home. To quote a line from a song, “We’ve been blessed to be a blessing.”  Thank you, St. Andrew’s, for being a blessing.~ Deb

The Gratitude and Generosity Team wishes to remind you that all donations need to be into the church office by December 31st if you wish to be eligible for a 2022 charitable tax receipt.  Your donations may be made online by clicking on the button below, via e-transfer to treasurer@standrewscalgary.ca or by cheque sent to or hand delivered to the church office.

There will be no church school on December 25th or January 1st.  We will have children’s activity packages that can be picked up as children enter the Sanctuary that they can work on, focusing on the same scripture readings that the minister will be focusing on, and we will welcome children back to regular church school on JANUARY 8, 2023.

I recently donated several items to a refugee family of 4 from Ukraine: a girl aged 3 and boy aged 6. They arrived at their host home with just a donated queen size mattress and nothing else.  ~ Jari-Lynn Eckert
