A great deal of things have happened over the summer and in the last couple of weeks that have positioned St Andrew’s for the next chapter in its history. Some observant people have been wondering why the banner at the front of the sanctuary says "125" when our congregation is only 117 years old?  That banner was made for the year 2000 to mark the 125th anniversary of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. The observant are also wondering why it looks kind'a like the window? The banner was part of the inspiration for the window! So there you have it folks! And rest assured the "125" will apply to us in eight years.

Please join us on Saturday, October 1st at 9:30 am for a family hike near Millarville.  All ages are welcome!  We will be hiking Brown Lowry Old Mill Loop - a 6 km, moderate, kid-friendly hike.  We are pleased to have Rev. Geoffrey Simmons joining us to lead us in communion.  Please contact Stephanie Werle at swerle@telus.net to register.  

Side by Side provides participants (people who are living with dementia and their caregivers), a place of warmly welcoming fellowship and meaningful activity.
 ONLINE:  The Side by Side Online program currently meets on Zoom on  Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.  
Starting on September 26th, the online program will meet on Zoom on Mondays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
 IN-PERSON:  The in-person Side by Side program will re-start on September 28th.  
It will take place in the Karl English Lounge on Wednesdays from 9:45 am to 2:15 pm.   Anyone wanting to take part, either online on Mondays or in-person on Wednesdays, can contact Alice Post at sidebyside@standrewscalgary.ca, or call the office at 403-255-0001 to request a call back.  

Congratulations to Clarence and Pat Lomheim as they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 26th.  God has blessed you with each other, and you have blessed St. Andrew’s by your faithfulness.
