We have been hearing about people who “quiet quit”—working to rule while disconnecting. Have some people quiet quit on God too? This week we will unpack two powerful scriptures that remind us never to quit on God, but to see the world through God’s loving eyes.

The Faith Formation Team is excited to announce church school returns IN PERSON this fall! 
Mark your calendars - classes begin:
September 11, 2022 for AGE 3 - GRADE 5 (every Sunday)
September 18, 2022 for GRADES 6 - 9 (the 3rd Sunday each month)
We are so excited to see the faces of the children we have missed so much ~ and to hear their laughter and excited voices.

We are so excited to welcome our youth, ages Grade 6's and up, starting Friday September 23rd at 7pm!
We're going to kick off the year by doing a study series that we're super stoked to share with you!
Feel free to bring a friend, or two! The more, the merrier!
We've got a few plans up our sleeves and we'd love you all to join us!

 We have been talking this year about strengthening our missional orientation and activity and our need to learn our way into this new direction. One way to learn is to draw from the experience of those who do this already. One ready resource is the work of Abundant Community Edmonton that “is a grassroots initiative fostering neighbour to neighbour relationships". They have an upcoming online workshop that will introduce you to what they do. 
I’ll be there! Hope to see some of you online for this.

Bill Judd will once again be providing leadership for a Sunday morning Bible Study.  On September 18th we will begin a study on N. T. Wright’s book entitled ‘SIMPLY JESUS’.  Please contact the church office at 403-255-0001 if you plan to attend.  We can also provide you with a book for the study for $20.00. If anyone would prefer a mid-week daytime zoom opportunity for the study, please let the office know and the Faith Formation Team  will explore arranging a mid-week study

On Saturday September 3rd, 2022 at 2:00 PM, Bob will be speaking and taking questions from the live audience at Varsity Acres Presbyterian Church. The event will be livestreamed and viewers who cannot attend will have an opportunity to participate by submitting questions prior to and during the event. For those who wish to pre-submit a question, please send your question to office@vapc.ca  with the subject line "Question for the Moderator". Questions will  also be taken live using the chat feature during the livestream.

He will also be leading worship at Westminster, Calgary (290 Edgepark Blvd  NW) at 10:30 am on September 4. You would be most welcome to that service.

Sunday, Sept 11th at 12:45 pm we are offering an opportunity to join the ROBERT HOULE art exhibit to further your understanding of Indigenous history and culture.
