Craig and Inge Murray know the importance of renewal.  Although the week-end is not a ‘rest’ for them, we hope they find their spirits renewed ~ along with the rest of the St. Andrew’s campers.  Craig and Inge work hard to make sure everyone in our congregation has an opportunity to ‘retreat away’ together for the family camping weekend.  All ages ~ all stages ~ come together in the beautiful outdoors, and have an amazing time of fun, fellowship and renewal.
We are grateful to Craig and Inge for their leadership in this annual event.  THANK YOU both ~ you are appreciated!!!

If you are in the neighbourhood of St Andrew's at 8 am on Thursday, please stop in to wave to Derek Wilkinson as he cycles by.  He is now on his last leg cycling solo and unassisted across Canada from St John to Victoria. 

 We have been talking this year about strengthening our missional orientation and activity and our need to learn our way into this new direction. One way to learn is to draw from the experience of those who do this already. One ready resource is the work of Abundant Community Edmonton that “is a grassroots initiative fostering neighbour to neighbour relationships". They have an upcoming online workshop that will introduce you to what they do. 
I’ll be there! Hope to see some of you online for this.

Bill Judd will once again be providing leadership for a Sunday morning Bible Study.  On September 18th we will begin a study on N. T. Wright’s book entitled ‘SIMPLY JESUS’.  Please contact the church office at 403-255-0001 if you plan to attend.  We can also provide you with a book for the study for $20.00. If anyone would prefer a mid-week daytime zoom opportunity for the study, please let the office know and the Faith Formation Team  will explore arranging a mid-week study

The Rev. Dr. Bob Faris, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, will be in Alberta at the end of this month through the Labour Day weekend. As part of his itinerary, he will be leading worship at Westminster, Calgary (290 Edgepark Blvd  NW) at 10:30 am on September 4. You would be most welcome to join us.
