We will be watching the documentary "Fish out of water" (2009) by Ky Dickens. The filmaker identifies how the LGBTQ community has been deeply hurt by the misinterpretation of a handful of bible passages which made Ky feel like "A fish out of water" within her own faith community when she came out. Please note that the film contains mature themes such as violence toward the LGBTQ community and self-harm. Feel free to stay after the film to share your thoughts and insights about the film, and/or to listen to the insights of others. Refreshments will be served.
