Coldest Night of the Year 2022

Join our St. Andrew’s family on Saturday, February 26, 2022, to walk and raise funds for Calgary Downtown HomeSpace Society (KAIROS Calgary and Feed the Hungry) through the Coldest Night of the Year event. You will find our team – the St. Andrew’s Striders – on the CNOY Leader Board. Sign up through the CNOY website to join the team as a walker and raise funds or to donate. People who register to walk as a team member will qualify for a toque if they raise $150 (adults 18 and over) or $75 (youth 17 and under).

This is a family-friendly event.

We will meet at the Haysboro Community Association parking lot at 3:45 p.m. and head out for our walk at 4:00 p.m.

Our route will be through the residential community. It is roughly a two-kilometer walk, taking half an hour to 45 minutes depending on pace. (The route can be shortened for those who wish a quicker route.)  

From the Community Centre we will walk west on 89 Avenue to the pathway running parallel to 14 Street. We will walk south on this path to 90 Avenue (for those who wish a shorter route) or to 96 Avenue (for the full route). We will then walk east to 12 Street. From there we will walk north on 12 Street to come back to 89 Avenue and the Community Association parking lot.  

We have use of the Community Association fire pit to warm up afterwards. People are welcome to bring their own marshmallow-roasting supplies and/or hot chocolate.
